A Combo of Comedy, Cod and Crooning - £1500 raised

Friday 14th July 2017

Another hugely successful evening arranged and organised as usual by the indefatigable Mel Fretter.

The event was compered by our MC for the evening Ian Hart. He conducted a short interview with Nathan giving the guests the chance to applaud him for his inclusion in the Diana Awards scheme, it also gave Nathan the opportunity to thank all guests for their support and generosity.

During the course of the evening we were also witness to the total removal of Andy Saych’s shoulder length hair. Andy had managed to collect sponsorship for the fund of over £600.00, an amazing amount! We owe a huge thank you to Andy for his efforts

Two prizes were also awarded during the evening by playing a game called “Heads and Tails”. First prize was a large M&S Hamper containing all sorts of goodies and including a bottle of Champagne donated by local business and supporter WIRSOL. Another prize bundle included meal/drink vouchers donated by local businesses The George and Dragon in Tarring and Casa Ciros in Worthing.

The evening then continued with Jack Winrow a crooner in the old style reprising hits by Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennet and the like.At one stage some of the Committee decided that a street dance should be included!

Saving the best to last was without doubt the set performed by Drew Cameron who was previously a Britain's Got Talent finalist.

Terrific impressions, jokes then more impressions plus a “gameface” dummy act, with Josh as the dummy! It was a really hilarious mix and was appreciated hugely by the audience. If you get the chance to see Drew don’t miss it !
